Canon Update
Want to move up in your timeline? Well, unfortunately for you there's no way off Zhautas...
But we've got something else that works just as well. It may take a few days but you'll be back among your fellow volunteers before you know it and with a whole bunch of new information from home!
(How This Works: Characters will take a short hiatus during their absence, but may not be gone for longer than a week. Characters who request to return home will be told that isn't possible but then within a couple days have the experience of "vanishing" only to return three to seven days later by awakening from a temporary stasis in the laboratory and new canon knowledge. Canon updates can happen randomly and be forced on unwilling characters without being prompted by them asking questions at player discretion!)

Summary of Update: Wade will be canon updated during the time of his death to the end of Deadpool 2, but not the post-credit scenes. At this point in time Wade will still be incredibly torn up about the loss he suffered.
SPOILER-
Vanessa's death and his failure to protect her.
(See synopsis of Deadpool 2 for reference). He will be even more careless with his safety than he even was before. He'll also be harder on himself than he was previously, seeing more clearly how his actions hurt/impact others. Although, that won't keep him from screwing up. He just might retreat more readily into the ridiculous than wanting to face those demons.Date of Disappearance: 7/23

Summary of Update: Billy will be updated to Young Avenger vol. 2, issue #11. Physically, he will be aged up to 18 and will have a bit of a different hairstyle. Mentally, he'll be in a tough spot with uncertainty regarding his magic and with the knowledge that he's a reality warping, future deity. His boyfriend back home has also just left him because he's not entirely sure he can believe Billy didn't wish him into existence/make him love him... and although this all turns out to be a lie fabricated by Loki at a later date, Billy won't know it. Other than that, he will have a bit more control over his magic, some formal training, and more certainty about continuing to be a superhero.

Summary of Update:
CRAU →
Canon → Updating from 4.3 Under the Moonlight to the end of 4.4 Prelude in Violet.
She has experienced great loss at this point in both her CRAU an her base canon.
In Genessia she was still fighting her depression, missing Aymeric and home so dearly, but the pain was eased by Thancred's presence. He gave her something to focus on, and vice versa. It was especially helpful after her other friends began leaving one by one, though her most recent loss there was Thancred.
She also did a bit of a magical knowledge trade with Terra Branford and Mavis Vermilion. She has been teaching them how to summon a basic Carbuncle, and in return Terra taught her an offensive water technique (think something like a slashing version of Suiton not limited to NIN), and Mavis taught her the basics of illusion magic and the knowledge of how to move to more complex things.
Also she found an error in Emmy's geometry and fixed it so now it can vocalize like a normal Carbuncle with yip yips and hisses and purrs and barks, etc.

...Which will leave her with renewed vigor to find a way home, because she made a promise to Alisaie. And Aymeric was there. And, since her canon canon-update happened via Genessia she will actually trust it to some degree, and hold onto the hope that varying timelines means one day they can be properly reunited. Just as long as she's first returned to Genessia rather than Hydaelyn.
That doesn't change what she believes happened to her Aymeric, of course. She'll still be set on avenging him, and making sure he truly is at rest in Halone's halls.

Character Journal:
Summary of Update: Ed received and used a memory canister providing him with information from his world that covered the approximate two years from his original disappearance from Amestris to the moment he returned to Munich, towards the end of Conqueror Of Shamballa.
Due to increasing pressure from his brother, concern about Val - who had recently arrived in the Quarantine - and a number of other factors (including the realization that there was never any chance of going home for him) Ed continued to push himself harder, throwing himself into his work and avoiding dealing with things as is typical of him.
In December with the celebration of Hygge, he turned this attention to the people he cared about and enjoying the holiday. He finally stopped pushing himself so hard and started to improve with the 'found family' established in Riverview, inviting members of Floor Six to move into the home he'd been constructing in secret to house all of them.
This stability was shattered when Valeria vanished abruptly on his birthday, leaving him both unable to follow and unwilling to leave Al. Ed left the city for a week to work out a plan and make that plan a convincing one, gave Jason his notes so that he wouldn't be completely unaware of things when he returned and had his memories erased of Val's arrival and his brother's confession, only to come back missing the months prior since that incident including the two years he gained from the memory canister.
Between the canon update, memory erasing and conflicting game timeline period entering Zhautas, Ed's memories will start to cause him increased distress trying to differentiate the numerous timelines and which reality he actually lived.
He'll be faced with the reality that Val is definitely real, which means she was definitely here and is now missing. Which also means dealing with the renewed guilt that she vanished and he did nothing about it in his previous state of denial. Although this will make him more suspicious of Zenith and want to get more involved in all the conspiracy theories going around, having disappeared himself in the first place is going to make him wary of getting too actively into things, to prevent it from happening again. Ed will also feel closer to and be more comfortable around Jay after gaining memories of lost months they knew each other in Riverview.
Additionally, he'll have an easier time contributing to the program after having some of his memories erased, any scars he obtained in canon after his automail surgery but before his revival are gone thanks to his brother restoring his body, and since his birthday passed during this time period he'll now be 22-years-old.
This update will bring him up to the moment his memories were erased in Riverview on February 7th, 2018.

Summary of Update: From end of Defenders S1 to end of Daredevil S3. Lots of spoilery things here. Despite the apparent victory Matt will feel troubled about his faith, his actions, and no doubt he will have questions and doubts about how far he was willing to go to do what he feels is right. He has to not only reconcile Daredevil's identity with his own but also come to terms with the fact that Daredevil isn't the problem sometimes, he is, and he slowly will work through letting go of a lot of the things he'd been holding onto.
He will return worried about his city and the people he cares about but not able to do much about it. He will also be a little paranoid.

Summary of Update:
Personality: Ryan has had a little bit of time to both come to terms and embrace his fey origins. While his dominant, take-charge attitude and predisposition towards kindness are still in-tact, he has embraced the art of dad-pranks. It's not actually genetic or anything, he just figures that he's not going to beat them (because he already committed himself to staying in the Feywild), so he might as well join them.
Abilities: Ryan has learned how to do a few new things due to taking a level in Bard.
Bardic Inspiration: Letting out a mighty awoo instills an ally within 60 ft. with a sense of guidance, allowing them to perform a task at above normal skill level. He can do this twice per day. And yes, he awoos in human form. He will sing you the song of his people, no matter what.
Spellcasting: Ryan has learned how to cast a small handful of spells. He knows two cantrips that he can cast at will, as many times per day as he likes. He also has two 1st level spell slots, that he can use to cast a number of spells.
Cantrips: Mage Hand, Prestidigitation
1st Level Spells: Cure Wounds, Dissonant Whispers, Heroism, Thunderwave
• Mage Hand: A spectral floating hand appears for 1 minute, within 30 feet, that he can use to manipulate small objects or perform other small/simple tasks. It cannot attack, use magic items, or carry more than 10lbs.
• Prestidigitation: Within 10 feet, he can perform a number of menial or harmless effects, such as harmless sensory effects (ex. A weird smell), light/snuff a small file, clean/soil small objects, chill/warm/flavor food, and so on. This effect can last for up to an hour as applicable.
• Cure Wounds: Heals a small amount of damage to any target within touching range. At 1st level, this amounts to small injuries such as small cuts/abrasions, bloody noses, etc.
• Dissonant Whispers: Causes a moderate amount of psychic damage, and forces the target to flee as far away as reasonably possible. (This does not force the target to move into an obviously dangerous position, e.g. into fire or off a cliff.) If the target is able to resist it, they still take a small amount of damage and do not have to flee. Does not work on deafened enemies.
• Heroism: For the next minute, the target is immune to being frightened, and gains a small amount of temporary health. If not expended, this temporary health is lost when the spell ends.
• Thunderwave: Anyone within a 15-foot cube takes a small amount of thunder damage and is pushed 10 feet away, although hardier creatures may take less damage and resist being pushed. Unsecured object within the area are also pushed 10 feet away, and the spell emits a thunderous boom that is audible out to 300 ft.

Summary of Update: Connor will be canon updating from November 9 (midday) to November 11 (night) to make the following choices:
- November 9 (afternoon): Connor returns to the police station with Hank and manages to reactivate one of the damaged Traci units in order to interrogate it. He decapitates the second Traci unit and and impersonates her voice in order to trick the reactivated Traci into revealing the location of Jericho. Gavin caught him on his way out, and he was forced to knock him unconscious in a fight in order to continue his mission.
- November 9 (night): Connor infiltrates Jericho under orders to capture the android rebellion leader. Markus attempts to talk him into betraying his mission and turning to the side of the androids, but Connor deliberately refuses to join the deviants. Human law enforcement forces raid Jericho, giving Markus an opportunity to flee but Connor pursues and is able to shoot him. Mission accomplished.
- November 11 (night): Connor is deployed to assassinate the new leader of the android rebellion, North, and is approaching the rooftop where he intends to take position to snipe her.
These changes will result in a calmer, more confident Connor with more stable programming and a stronger tendency towards goal-driven behavior. He’s a good boy. It’s fine. This is fine.Date of Disappearance: 12/23

Character Journal:
Summary of Update: Legends of Tomorrow 4x08; John first meets Sara Lance on Arrow when Oliver Queen asks for his help bringing her back. He then crosses over to Legends of Tomorrow when Sara and the other Legends are dealing with a demon named Mallus. He teams up and does some time travel with them to rein in some magical creatures that got unleashed when they dealt with Mallus. Attempting to use time travel to fix ~personal things~ on a couple of occasions, John manages to break time and has to make some difficult decisions to set things right.
He will return more skittish than usual (also kind of glad to be on the run?) and more ambivalent about how he feels about committing to anything here.
N.B. His newly acquired ability to open a portal into Hell will not work here.
